COMP1 is a powerful program that is used by Johnson Controls to calculate Sabroe parts. V and VD iceflakers is a part of the program, but since V373 is "invented" by us it is not a part of COMP1. You can however easily calculate the cooling capacities of a V373 if you use a small trick: Choose VD746 and type in 0.5 under "no:".
A V373 is basically a VD746 that we cut into two separate machines to be able to offer a 15 ton iceflaker with reasonable evaporation temperatures.
Depending on the COMP1 version you will experience that the ice capacity is presented in kilo per second instead of kilo per 24 hours when you print the result. If you wish to change the capacity from kg/sec to kg/24h you must change the printer setup. Choose "configure" --> "General options" --> "Graphic prints" mark "post script". Also choose "HTML text" instead of "PDF text".
Gram / Atlas / Sabroe ice machines. Remember grease and oil.
In 2010 we were on a number of trips to repair the old type iceflakers like Gram, Atlas and Sabroe. Our engineers almost always report that the machines have been missing grease and oil. Lack of grease and oil in the shaft seals will reduce the life span of the shaft seals and bearings. Perhaps it is time to check up on grease and oil your own or your customers machines?
Remember that you can download the manuals for old and new type iceflakers on www.buus.dk. They are found in Dealers Hub. Feel free to ask us for a login and password.
R744. CO2 sub critical test plant.
In November 2010 we started up our CO2 test plant. As HFC's are phased out around the Globe we sense a increasing demand for CO2 solutions. So far we have run some tests on a V373CFT. The ice capacity is slightly better than on R404A.
CO2 piping is a bit different from you will find on a ammonia iceflaker.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Opening hours during Christmas 2011.
The office and workshop is closed from 23rd December to 3rd January. E-mails will be read periodically and the main telephone number +45 97 74 40 33 is open 24/7.
We will send out a newsletter when the 2011 pricelists are available for download on Dealers Hub. It will be late January or February.
